We’ll here’s my first official attempt at a blog update. So I created my first piece of art for Jon Schindehette’s (Senior Art Director Dungeons & Dragons® Wizards of the Coast) http://artorder.blogspot.com/ art competition. It is the Owlbear Revisited.
I am fairly happy with how it turned out, but must admit that I’m not too happy with how monochromatic my color palette is. I guess it’s to be expected what with my nearly complete lack of color theory knowledge. Hey, I’m just excited to be competing and to have an actual AD (Art Director) seeing my work even if I feel that’s it’s sub par to what I should be creating. Anyway, He has a great blog and some awesome information for any artist. Definitely worth checking out.
