About

I was born on a cold October morning in 1982, in the backwoods of northern Idaho. I began drawing at a young age and was given a great deal of support by my family. As most creative children do, I filled my head with knowledge of the utmost importance. Whenever I wasn’t playing with G.I. Joes, or doodling I was reading comic books and watching movies like Bladerunner and Star Wars.

Since then I’ve been here and there trying my hand in many different forms of art. I’ve worked as a graphic artist, an airbrush artist and even a tattoo artist, but none of them ever truly challenged me like concept/fantasy art. This seemed to ring true more so than ever when I was able to attend the 2004 conceptart.org/Massive Black workshop in San Francisco. It was an amazing and eye opening experience. There I was able to meet and converse with some of the top pros in the industry such as Jon Foster, Peter Konig and Andrew Jones, just to name a few. It was in “The City” I realized that creating worlds and the inhabitants within them was my calling.

So I started studying anatomy and doing my homework to learn more about this enigma called concept art. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and have come quite a ways, but I’m still playing with action figures and having as much fun as when I was eight. I currently reside in Coeur d’ Alene Idaho with my beautiful wife Brittney, creating art and enjoying life.
